A Scottish Play and a Happy New Year

Happy 2015 everybody!

The first year out of school is such a scary, mind-bending experience. Even when you're holding all of the cards, you have moments of utter panic and doubt. And when you believe you're at the bottom, you rally and think "I can do anything!" It's backwards and topsy-turvy, but I have wonderful support and friends who are all going through the same thing. And it's a great time to really learn about yourself as an actor, focus your passion, and hone your talents.

I'm also extremely excited for my first NYC post-college production to go up! The Abstract Sentiment Theatre Company's production of Macbeth: Tim Burton Meets Shakespeare opens next Thursday! It will be an awesome show: styled after the artistry of Tim Burton, drawing in concepts from horror movies, and taking an already dark, sinster tale and running with it. I am playing Witch 2 and Lady Macduff, both of whom have some incredible and chilling scenes. The cast, listed below, is fantastic, and have an amazing committment to the vision of this classic show. I know us actors tend to overuse the words "excited" and "thrilled," so I am over-the-moon about our opening date!

Macbeth: Tim Burton Meets Shakespeare opens January 22nd at the Alchemical Theatre Lab on 14th street, and tickets can be found here.
